How To Opt-Out of Prism
With all the recent revelations about the NSA and all the companies that are working with them to give away our information, it seems impossible to have any kind of privacy on the internet. In actuality, while there might not be a way to 100% protect yourself all of the time, there are many other options out there that we can take to start to opt-out of Prism and put security barriers in between our personal information and the spying eyes of the government. Luke Rudowski breaks down some of the programs and applications that we can use as alternatives to the ones we’re currentl using like Microsoft Windows, Google, Facebook and more.

The Resident: America, nation of agoraphobics
Americans are working from home more and more. They are shopping online more and more – even for essentials like groceries. Millennials aren’t even getting their OWN homes – 21.6 million of them still live with their parents. And Americans are taking more and more antidepressants. Meanwhile, our birth and marriage rates are down. Add all of it together and what do you get? The Resident (aka Lori Harfenist) discusses.
Eye on Allies: EU key target for NSA spying after China, Russia & Iran
Keeping an eye on Washington’s own allies, including the EU, is a key priority for the US National Security Agency, just behind the likes of Russia, China and Iran. That’s been revealed by German magazine Der Spiegel which has seen documents leaked by fugitive US whistleblower Edward Snowden. Peter Oliver looks at who ranks where on the NSA’s watchlist.
