EPISODE BREAKDOWN: On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin remarks on former first daughter, Chelsea Clinton’s $600K salary at NBC, highlighting how the network’s isn’t investing in talent, but rather in political access. Abby then calls out the corporate media for its political theatre coverage house majority leader Eric Cantor’s electoral loss, whilst ignoring Afghanistan’s most recent elections which were mired not only by allegations of wide-spread fraud but also violence on part of the every-defiant Taliban. Abby then speaks with Jess Spear, climate scientist and candidate for the Washington State House, about her political platform, which proposes a radical new approach to deal with the climate crisis. Abby then reports on two very different Op-eds on the ongoing crisis in Iraq involving the extremist group, ISIS. The first article is written by jailed US army whistleblower, Chelsea Manning, who comments on the current crisis related to failed western policy in Iraq. Conversely, the second Op-ed, written by former UK PM, Tony Blair, argues that Iraq’s tailspin into civil war has nothing to do with US and UK intervention. BTS wraps up the show with an interview with RT Correspondent Marina Portnaya, discussing the shocking number of FBI stings carried out in the US, where 95 percent of these operations involve entrapment by the agency.

ISIS is the World’s Richest Terrorist Group

ISIS (The Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham) is the world’s richest terrorist group notably surpassing the well-known al Qaeda and Taliban organizations. This is all according to the International Business Times who called ISIS the world’s richest terror force after the group captured Mosul and made off with half-a-billion-dollars from the city’s central bank. The Islamic extremist group is spreading across Iraq seizing land and oil wells with the intention of establishing Sharia law in Iraqi and Syrian territories.
