The War Against Free Will

• Martin Luther   Martin Luther (/ˈluːθər/;[1] German: [ˈmaɐ̯tiːn ˈlʊtɐ] ( listen); 10 November 1483 – 18 February 1546) was a German friar, priest and professor of theology who was a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation.[2] Initially an Augustinian friar, Luther came to reject several teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. He strongly disputed the claim that freedom from God’s punishment for sin could be purchased with money. He confronted indulgence salesman Johann Tetzel, a Dominican friar, with his Ninety-Five Theses in 1517. His refusal to retract all of his writings at the demand of Pope Leo X in 1520 and the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Worms in 1521 resulted in his excommunication by the Pope and condemnation as an outlaw by the Emperor.
  Luther taught that salvation and subsequently eternity in heaven is not earned by good deeds but is received only as a free gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ as redeemer from sin and subsequently eternity in hell. His theology challenged the authority and office of the Pope by teaching that the Bible is the only source of divinely revealed knowledge from God[3] and opposed sacerdotalism by considering all baptized Christians to be a holy priesthood.[4]

Papal Hypocrisy Is A Tactical Clue

  Pope Francis heartened environmentalists around the world in June when he urged immediate action to save the planet from the effects of climate change, declaring that the use of “highly polluting fossil fuels needs to be progressively replaced without delay.”

  But some of the largest American Catholic organizations have millions of dollars invested in energy companies, from hydraulic fracturing firms to oil sands producers, according to their own disclosures, through many portfolios intended to fund church operations and pay clergy salaries.

  This discrepancy between the church’s leadership and its financial activities in the United States has prompted at least one significant review of investments. The Archdiocese of Chicago, America’s third largest by Catholic population, told Reuters it will reexamine its more than $100 million worth of fossil fuel investments.

  “We are beginning to evaluate the implications of the encyclical across multiple areas, including investments and also including areas such as energy usage and building materials,” Betsy Bohlen, chief operating officer for the Archdiocese, said in an email. 

  Coleman, of Christian Brothers Investment Services, believes there are benefits to remaining invested.

  “Our strategy has been active ownership, to get companies to understand the impact of their emissions and to reduce them, to look at their carbon footprint and to invest in other energy technologies,” he said.

  But for Amy Domini, who runs Domini Social Investments, LLC, a mutual fund firm that says it seeks to provide strong returns for investors who “wish to create positive social and environmental outcomes”, the U.S. Catholic Church has no choice but to reconcile its investments with the realities of climate change.

  “Otherwise the bishops will be saying they follow the pope with their spirits, but not with their money,” she said.

• Pope Francis to be first pontiff to speak before US Congress

  In a move that critics have called bizarre, deranged, arrogant, and worse, the White House released a photograph last week of Obama depicted as a monarch — complete with a crown and a hellish-looking throne. It was apparently supposed to be some sort of attempt at humor based on a sex- and murder-packed HBO show called Game of Thrones. However, other than members of the establishment press, few Americans seem to have thought the photo of King Obama was funny. The picture was especially troubling to critics considering Obama’s increasing reliance on unconstitutional “executive actions” to advance his anti-constitutional agenda.

  The controversial image was first unveiled at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on May 3, where presidents typically crack jokes with members of the establishment media. Reporters laughed. After that, the official White House Twitter account also sent out the image of Obama on the “Iron Throne,” created from 1,000 swords surrendered by conquered and subjugated officials, with a description saying it was “The Westeros Wing.” Apparently “Westeros” refers to the region where the fantasy show takes place and where ruthless and murderous tyrants fight for control of the Iron Throne.

  “This year I’ve promised to use more executive actions to get things done without Congress,” Obama told the supposed journalists and attendees at the annual dinner. “My critics call this the imperial presidency. Truth is I just show up every day at my office and do my job.

  “On the other hand, public authorities—who are primarily expected to create the conditions for a  just and sustainable development, so that civil society can develop all its potentialities—can find a valuable and useful support for their action in the commitment and loyal collaboration of the Church,” he said.

  Though independent, church and state share “the common responsibility” of meeting people’s “spiritual and physical needs…with humility and dedication,” he said.

  Meeting more than 50,000 Catholic charismatics in Rome’s Olympic Stadium, Pope Francis admitted he was not always comfortable with the way they prayed, but he knelt onstage as they prayed for him and over him by singing and speaking in tongues.

  “In the early years of the charismatic renewal in Buenos Aires, I did not have much love for charismatics,” the pope said June 1. “I said of them: They seem like a samba school.”

  Little by little, though, he came to see how much good the movement was doing for Catholics and for the church, he told a gathering organized by the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services and the Catholic Fraternity of Charismatic Covenant Communities and Fellowships.

  Pope Francis invited the crowd, which included charismatics from 55 countries, to come to St. Peter’s Square for Pentecost in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the movement. The Catholic charismatic movement traces its origins to a retreat held in 1967 with students and staff from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

  “I expected all of you, charismatics from around the world, to celebrate your great jubilee with the pope at Pentecost 2017 in St. Peter’s Square,” the pope said.

  The celebration in Rome’s Olympic Stadium began with the song, “Vive Jesus, El Senor,” (“Jesus, the Lord, Lives”) a Spanish-language song which Pope Francis joined in singing with his hands open like many in the crowd. The pope said he likes the song, which charismatics in Argentina also sing.

  At another point, when the crowd prayed that the Holy Spirit would fill Pope Francis, he knelt on the bare floor of the stage, while they sang with their hands raised toward him. After the song, many in the crowd kept their hands raised as they prayed in tongues, speaking in unfamiliar languages.

  Pope Francis told the charismatics that their movement was begun by the Holy Spirit as “a current of grace in the church and for the church.”

  “Our intention is to arrive at 2017 with a common Roman Catholic-Lutheran declaration on Eucharistic hospitality,” Bishop Munib Younan told the Italian Protestant news agency NEV before meeting with Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday (Dec. 16).
  “Eucharistic hospitality,” means that Catholics would be able to receive Communion at Lutheran worship services, and Lutherans would be able to do the same at a Catholic Mass.

  From June 16 to July 31, Money Metals Exchange experienced a 135% surge in gold and silver sales over the prior 45-day period (which was representative of the early months of 2015). Since June 16, the number of first-time customers rose even more dramatically, with 365% more new purchasers than the prior period.

  Eventually it was bound to happen.  The ever increasing ambiguous laws that allow the government to prosecute, or worse, simply negate all Constitutional protections of its citizens would come back to hang them.  In an unusual circumstance, what is essentially one party in D.C. when it comes to matters of covering up governmental criminality, has split into a two party system.  Specifically, a sect of the Republican party known as Tea Partiers pushed unrelentingly to expose the criminality acted upon members of its own tribe by various government agencies.

  The Tea Party was formed by a group of individuals around the country who wanted to get back to the ideals of the Constitution i.e freedom.  But the Constitution is kryptonite to the system.  And so those who organize to promote the Constitution were targeted by the highest levels of government.  What better weapon to attack those whose intention is to defend the Constitution than an unconstitutional agency that has essentially unquestioned authority.  After all it is always unclear who watches the watchman.  Well in this particular case, the FBI and DOJ would seem to have jurisdiction over actions consistent with those of the IRS.

  Under the FBI’s own definition of a ‘Domestic Terrorist’ one MUST consider the IRS to be a terrorist organization as evidenced by the very recent discoveries surrounding the IRS’s own actions.

  “Domestic terrorism” means activities with the following three characteristics:

  • Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
  • Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and
  • Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S. …”

  While the first characteristic seems to imply violence is necessary it should be noted that under the FBI’s definition of ‘International Terrorism’ they explicitly include ‘Violent acts’ within the definition.
