My apologies to Ohio State fans, I really didn’t see that coming either
Correction to fines on MD
Tyranny on full throttle
Psaki’s audio, notice nothing is said about natural immunity, the actual course of the disease state, only that everyone must be jabbed.
Why does Biden sign executive orders that are unconstitutional? Because it will take so long to have the courts reverse it, he will already have done enough damage.
No Scientific Data for Masks on Kids, More of a Political reason
National Institutes of Health (NIH) director Francis Collins on Tuesday indicated that the push to make America’s youngest students wear masks at school is more due to concerns over potential school eclosures, rather than based on data of COVID-19’s impact on children’s health.
Collins said that although young children getting COVID-19 is rare, unmasked students could cause COVID-19 outbreaks at schools, forcing their peers to return to remote learning.
“It is still pretty rare, but it is not zero, and we now have more than 400 kids that have died of this. So we have to think about that,” he said.
Hewitt, who was unimpressed with Collins’s use of the word “may,” notes that K–3 students are vulnerable to speech development problems that affect the rest of their lives if they can’t see people’s full faces. He then moved to ask whether there is data showing that kids in grade K-3 “are at greater risk of hospitalization or illness of serious sort from taking their mask off.”
“I wish we had that data,” Collins replied. “But Hugh, I don’t think you’re hearing me. It’s not just about that.”
“The CDC really hates to have to make recommendations based on anecdotes,” Collins said. “But sometimes it’s what you’ve got at the time.”
Need to know anything else? Bioweapon
US Intelligence Officials Inconclusive on COVID-19 Origin, Say China Unwilling to Cooperate
“China’s cooperation most likely would be needed to reach a conclusive assessment of the origins of COVID-19,” their report stated. “Beijing, however, continues to hinder the global investigation, resist sharing information and blame(s) other countries, including the United States.”
fda leaders stepping down, Why?
The bombshell announcement comes at a particularly crucial moment, as boosters and children’s shots are being weighed by the regulator. The departures also come as the administration has recently jumped ahead of the FDA’s reviews of booster shots, announcing that they might be available by the week of Sept. 20.
A former senior FDA leader told Endpoints that they’re departing because they’re frustrated that CDC and their ACIP committee are involved in decisions that they think should be up to the FDA. The former FDAer also said he’s heard they’re upset with CBER director Peter Marks for not insisting that those decisions should be kept inside FDA. What finally did it for them was the White House getting ahead of FDA on booster shots.
Yeah, don’t put my name on it
The Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge, the so-called core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index, vaulted in the 12 months through July to levels not seen in 30 years.
The last time the core PCE inflation gauge saw a similar year-over-year vault was in July 1991, while the highest level the measure has hit is 10.2 percent in February 1975, when the economy was gripped in a troubling upwards wage-price spiral fueled by rising inflation expectations on the part of consumers.
In a speech Friday, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell addressed inflationary pressures, acknowledging a “sharp run-up in inflation” driven by the rapid reopening of the economy while reiterating his oft-repeated view that price pressures would moderate once supply-side shortages and bottlenecks further abate. Wait until the new 4 trillion imaginary dollars get printed.
“Inflation at these levels is, of course, a cause for concern. But that concern is tempered by a number of factors that suggest that these elevated readings are likely to prove temporary,”
What Economists were thinking this? Time for them to quit their day job.
The U.S. economy added about 235,000 new jobs in August according to U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics released on Friday, falling far short of economists’ expectations of around 728,000 new jobs.
I literally laughed out loud when I read this
Continued spread of the Delta variant of corona virus has hindered some economic growth, economists told the Wall Street Journal. Overall, around 5.3 million fewer people were employed as of August than in February 2020 before the corona virus pandemic caused widespread business shutdowns.
The U.S. economy has seen high levels of inflation, with consumer prices rising 5.4 percent in July 2021 over the same month in 2020. Supply shocks have also disrupted certain sectors, such as a shortage of semiconductor chips that has caused automaker GM to temporarily shut down factories.
Horowitz: FDA disseminates dangerous and libelous misinformation against lifesaving COVID treatment
Dr. Molly James, an ICU doctor from St. Louis who has also worked and volunteered in New York City ICUs during he peak of the crisis, told me that she even sees miraculous results from ivermectin during late stages of the virus. “It’s rare I can prescribe it in the ICU, but I have been able to and seen it miraculously work. I had a patient 10 days into standard treatment and at risk for intubation when I changed his treatment to the MATH+ protocol, and within 48 hours he was almost off oxygen. In the hundreds of ICU and vented patients I’ve seen, not one has improved that quickly without ivermectin in the protocol.”
To the extent that there might be some people messing around with the paste version of ivermectin for animals, that is the fault of the FDA for making it so hard for doctors to prescribe and people to access the version made for people. It’s not like the organization is offering any other solutions. If anything, this is an argument for making human ivermectin available over the counter, as it essentially was in Africa.
Now, I think the Nobel Prizes are mostly a bunch of crap, but you have got to hate it when one of those awards comes back to bite you in the butt,
William C. Campbell and Satoshi Omura were awarded the Nobel Prize for physiology in 2015 for discovering the drug as a cure for river blindness. Here is an excerpt from the press release of the Nobel Assembly:
Today the Avermectin-derivative Ivermectin is used in all parts of the world that are plagued by parasitic diseases. Ivermectin is highly effective against a range of parasites, has limited side effects and is freely available across the globe. The importance of Ivermectin for improving the health and wellbeing of millions of individuals with River Blindness and Lymphatic Filariasis, primarily in the poorest regions of the world, is immeasurable. Treatment is so successful that these diseases are on the verge of eradication, which would be a major feat in the medical history of humankind.
Gullible media falls for false narrative about Ivermectin
The meat of the story is a series of quotes from an Oklahoma doctor, Jason McElyea, who appears to attribute overcrowding at local hospitals to a deluge of ivermectin overdoses.
“The ERs are so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting to facilities where they can get definitive care and be treated,” McElyea told KFOR’s Katelyn Ogle.
It was a story that appeared to confirm many of the mainstream media’s biases about the recklessness of the rubes. But it’s extremely misleading. There is, in fact, little reason to believe a purported strain on Oklahoma hospitals is caused by ivermectin overdoses; one hospital served by the doctor quoted in the KFOR article released a statement saying it has not treated any ivermectin overdoses, nor has it been forced to turn away patients.
This is yet another example of the mainstream media lazily circulating a narrative that flatters the worldview of the liberal audience, without bothering to check on any of the details. Additional reporting was sorely needed here, and has now completely undermined the central point of the story.
