On October 1, 2017, the 1October Las Vegas Strip became the scene of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. I was there in the aftermath to report my findings. My year and a half journey traveling across the West in 2017/18 brought me to Las Vegas just days before the horrific mass shooting that ultimately left 58 people dead. While I was in the city to visit family and report on the federal Bundy Ranch et al. trial, the tragedy on the Las Vegas Strip became an immediate focal point. A few days after the event, I visited the scene to conduct my own findings.
