I Shall Call Her Shellie
Presidents and Policies have come and gone while she's stayed right here.

I decided for obvious reasons to call her this.
She's a local here in the Arkansas Ozarks. I've been seeing her for nigh on 15 years, and she's still packing a message.
Presidents and Policies have come and gone while she's stayed right here.
That hard shell on her back keeps her protected and reminds me of somebody else I know: Michele Fiore.
In the West, Michele stood her ground at the Bundy Ranch protest in 2014, and again at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge occupation. In my opinion, if it weren't for her, four more lives would have been lost that day. Through all the persecution she's endured, she has not lost her way.
I think both would tell you that out here, you last by being tough, staying steady, and never letting anybody push you off your path.
Shellie carries her armor everywhere she goes, and she wears her opinion right on her back for all to see.
Nature protects its own, with no permit, agency, or program involved.
Plenty of folks run from the weather, the critics, and the long road. Shellie just keeps walking that walk.
