The Bulletinman
Thirty years ago, August 24th, 1996, Jeffrey R. Weinhaus published the first issue of Bulletinman. He continued that publication for 16 years, using it to challenge local corruption, police conduct, and regional authorities across Missouri.
His work came to a halt in September 2012 following an encounter with state law enforcement at a gas station, during which he was shot four times.
Despite surviving the shooting and maintaining his innocence, Jeffrey was convicted in 2013 on charges including assault of a law enforcement officer and armed criminal action.
Today, he remains in state prison, serving a 30-year sentence—now more than 5,000 days into his term as supporters continue to push for an independent review of his conviction.
Call to Action:
We urge Missouri state officials to initiate an independent review of the 2012 shooting and conviction of Jeffrey R. Weinhaus, and we call on local news outlets to investigate the record of this case.
