Grim Leftovers Podcast Blog – 2019-07-08 – The Milgram Experiment Gone Wild

Today’s show was a bit different than the typical “Leftovers” shows that I typically do here. I only covered a single article:
Milgram Experiment from Simply Psychology
After finishing the article I gave my thoughts and personal experiences on how I believe this article explains a lot of what is going on in today’s world and how it has been going on since the dawn of civilization.
People buy into the myth of authority for a wide variety of reasons, but mostly it comes down to the same thing: It’s easier.
My recommendations to people would be:
° Try and think for yourself, understand the reasons for what you are doing.
° Try and be a good person, to yourself and to others around you.
° Don’t look at or think of others as part of a group, but as individuals (because that’s what they are).
° If someone is doing something you disapprove of, try and see things from their perspective.
